New firmware,
public beta.
After months of testing, today's firmware release is open to everyone. Two significant overhauls, and a long list of smaller improvements.
Join the beta
The beta runs for a couple of weeks before we push it to the App Store version. The app has had a major infrastructure upgrade, and going public is how we confirm there are no crashes before release. You can always roll back by installing the current app from the store.

Stunt mode
A major upgrade over the old version. When active, the controller automatically lifts the front wheel and actively holds it there with you. Enable stunt mode in the app and set your desired angle. When you are ready, press and hold the ASR button on your Ultra Bee — or the top button on the Axon 4-way — for seven seconds, until the angle icon appears on the display. No complex sliders, no menus. It just works.
Once active, any attempt to lift the front wheel is assisted by the controller: it pushes you up and holds you at the set angle. If your angle is below the bike's tipping point you will not hold it for long — you will either keep accelerating or drop the front wheel. That is physics. The tipping point on most bikes sits around 45–48 degrees, depending on length and wheel size. Start with lower angles to build confidence, but a true wheelie needs to be near those numbers.
Never use stunt mode on a fully charged battery
Stunt mode works on any battery, but it may apply between 10 and 30 amps of charge back to the pack. Make sure the battery is at 95% charge or less before using it. A warning on the display is coming in a future update.
Auto motor tuning
Previously, like other brands, we had to put the motor on a test bench and run extensive test rides to tune it for optimal performance. The new calibration procedure runs through several complex steps on its own — you will hear the motor beep and click, then spin in both directions at various speeds. The result is an accurate custom tune for your specific motor.
Expect smoother overall operation and a slight power improvement across the RPM range. During the upgrade the calibration will run twice. This is normal, and only happens when coming from the old version.
